SSP lands at Hurghada International Airport

The deal will see the introduction of 12 brands.

The leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, SSP, has won a new contract with Egyptian Airports Company to operate a number of restaurants and cafés in Terminal 1 at Hurghada International Airport. It was awarded following a public tender process.

The deal will see the introduction of 12 brands, including four celebrated names that are new to the airport – KFC, Costa Coffee, Camden Food Co, and Levito Pizza and Pasta. They will join the existing ones operated by SSP at the airport, which include Burger King, FloCafe, Coffee Lab, Ritazza, Upper Crust, Flavours and Alsafi.

George Antoniou, managing director of SSP Eastern Europe and the Middle East, said: “This new contract win is testament to our ability to deliver a high-quality, innovative programme of food and beverage. Our understanding of the international and local travelling consumer means we have created a mix of offers that really meets the needs of all passenger demographics at this important transport hub.”
