Eurest and 14forty unveil new plant-based offering

Eurest and 14forty have unveiled a major 2021 refresh of their plant-based nutritious range. Serving keyworkers who are supporting essential services up and down the country during the national lockdown, Plantilicious is being rolled out across hundreds of locations this month to coincide with Veganuary. Plant-based food will be served each day expanding on 2020’s Meat Free Mondays, which saw over 1,000 meals sold each week across the Eurest estate.

Research from Nestlé shows that 65% of Europeans are trying to reduce their meat intake, while 44% of consumers want to see more plant-based alternatives in restaurants. Dishes from the range include Moroccan fillet tagine, chilli non carne and sweet potato mac ‘n’ cheese.

Liz Forte, health and wellness director of Compass Business and Industry, said: “Consumers in every demographic want plant-based options backed up by nutritional science. We care more than ever about the environmental impact of the food we eat, while employers must become more sustainable and offer better wellbeing perks.

“We know businesses have certain CSR targets to meet. Encouraging their teams to eat more plant-based meals is a simple way to help become more planet positive, while also offering employees the chance to participate in making a difference.
