Mellors Mega Day raises over £1k

Mellors Catering Services recently welcomed more than 220 team members from across the UK to its annual Mega Day, which was held at Lancashire Manor Hotel. Delivering a vibrant programme of learning, innovation and celebration, it also raised £1,260 for the Zoe’s Place Liverpool charity.

The event brought together catering managers, area managers, operations teams and support office colleagues for a day designed to inspire foodie collaboration, share best practice and strengthen connections across the business. It gave teams practical ideas and fresh inspiration to take back to their school catering units.

The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate Mellors’ recent triple award success at the Contract Catering Awards, with the trophies being proudly displayed throughout the day.

'A special opportunity'
Tony Trainor, chief executive officer of Mellors Catering Services, said: “Mega Day is always a special opportunity to bring our teams together, share ideas and celebrate what makes Mellors unique. We’re incredibly proud not only of the innovation and collaboration shown throughout the day, but also of the generosity demonstrated in raising funds for Zoe’s Place Liverpool.”
