Museum of London Docklands appoints Bovingdons

The Museum of London Docklands recently revealed that Bovingdons will be its new catering partner for the next five years following a competitive tender process. The company has taken over the museum’s café and will provide exclusively for daytime events, as well as becoming part of the preferred evening catering list at both the Docklands site and the Museum of London.

Bovingdons has over 30 years of experience delivering food, service and trusted event delivery, with 15 years spent working at fixed sites, many of which are historical venues. As the Museum of London Dockland’s catering partner, it will focus on providing the best locally sourced, sustainable food to create innovative menus across the café and its event catering operation.

Sarah McQueen, assistant head of commercial services for the Museum of London, said: “We are thrilled to have Bovingdons on board to support the delivery of catering in the café, as well as providing catering exclusively for daytime events at the Museum of London Docklands.”

Frans Kobus, managing director of Bovingdons, added: “We are delighted to have won the contract. Our team has demonstrable experience working with historic venues, such as Fulham Palace and Nonsuch Mansion, and it’s fantastic to add such an unusual and diverse location as the Museum of London Docklands to our portfolio.”
